The vehicle has a first pedal (14) for forward and a second one (16) for reverse. One of these is fixed to a primary shaft (18), which has a radially spaced-out control arm (20) connected to a gear shift with neutral, forward and reverse positions. The other pedal is fixed to another shaft (30). The two shafts are in a carrier console (44) fitted in the vehicle where the pedals are operated or in the immediate vicinity of this position. The console may be fitted to a foot resting surface (12). |
