<p>An improved instrument panel (20) includes an airbag cover (24) defined by a tear strip (26) on an inner face of the airbag cover. The outer face of the instrument panel does not include any indication of the tear strip, and thus has a seamless appearance. A hinge (34) is preferably provided to secure the airbag cover to the remainder of the instrument panel when the airbag deploys.</p> |
