A coloured photographic silver halide (AgX) material having >= 2 red-sensitive (RS), >= 2 green-sensitive (GS) and >= 2 blue-sensitive (BS) emulsion layers of different speeds, with cyan, magenta and yellow couplers respectively, and with spacer layers provided at least between the layers of different colour sensitivity. Specifically, the material has a spacer layer containing non-complementary colour coupler(s) next to the slowest emulsion layer in the AgX emulsion layer set that is sensitive to a certain region of the spectrum, and couples to the complementary colour.
