Foot rest for use when sitting

The rest consists of two congruent side sections (1a,1b) having lower longitudinal sides (2), front sides (4), top sides (13) and rear sides (12). The side sections are connected together by spacer parts (5,6,8). Each side part has a lower longitudinal side extending in a straight line and having a curved corner (3) at one end. This corner blends into a front side which extends in a straight line running at right angles or an obtuse angle to the longitudinal side. The top side runs parallel to or at an acute angle to the longitudinal side. A support surface (7) is provided on or between the top sides, and a foot stop (14,8) is provided as a natural extension of the front side. The rear side is attached at its end to the longitudinal side.
