A device (10) is disclosed that can be adapted to fit the dentition of a user to prevent snoring. The device (10) has a flexible U-shaped upper member, and a flexible U-shaped lower member, each of which have releasable fastening means (16) affixed to them, enabling a user to easily and readily adjust the two members relative to one another so as to keep the user's airway passage open, and thereby prevent snoring. A moldable material (17) is provided in each of the members so that a user can make an impression of the user's upper and lower dentition, which are then contained permanently in the moldable material that remains flexible on setting. This assures a snug and comfortable fit for the user when the upper and lower members are inserted in the user's mouth.
