<p>The invention relates to a platform-related arrangement (1) that includes a barrier structure (2). The barrier structure (2) can be raised to a vertical position, or a generally vertical position, in which it keeps persons (B) present on the platform (P) at a given distance from an adjacent section of rail track (3a) along which a train (3) is able to pass close to the platform (P) without stopping. One edge-part (2a) of the barrier structure (2) is pivotally mounted to the platform (P) at a distance from the platform edge (p1) proximal to said track section (3a) that corresponds to the height (h) of said barrier structure above the upper, planar surface (20) of the platform when the barrier structure is raised to its vertical position. The barrier structure (2) can also be swung to a horizontal, or at least generally horizontal, position about said one edge (2a), so as to lie in the close proximity of the upper, planar surface (20) of the platform.</p> |
