The spreader comprises a return pipe which when opened allows the material to be directed back into the supply container. This return pipe (16) opens out underneath a roof-shaped element (19) provided in the supply container (1) between two opposite side walls of same. The roof-shaped element is pref. mounted above the dosing member (2).
