<p>An electrocoagulation printing ink which comprises a liquid dispersion comprising a polymer capable of electrolytical coagulation, a liquid medium, a soluble electrolyte, a pigment, and a dispersant for evenly dispersing the pigment in the dispersion, and in which the dispersant is an alkali metal salt of a naphthalenesulfonic acid/formaldehyde condensate; and an electrocoagulation printing method using the same. By using this dispersant, storage stability is improved and undesirable colored scumming formed in the prints obtained by electrocoagulation printing is mitigated.
