Fuel injection control method for IC engine

The fuel injection control method for successive pre-injection and main injection, includes opening a fuel injection valve (3) for injecting fuel in an IC engine (33). An overlapping operation control works by moving the fuel injection valve in a direction for opening by starting an operation related to the opening of the valve. After opening the fuel injection valve, the main injection is fully closed ready for pre-injection. The overlapping operating control is solely carried out then, if it is determined, the IC engine is in an operating condition, in which its operation exceeds a determined engine speed and/or a determined load.
