Quick-closing flange for use in low pressure or evacuated regions i.e. in air- and space travel applications

The flange is in the form of a cap or fixture having conical rings to which a uniform axial force is applied. The cap or closure rings apply a closing force, but remain movable along the rings which take the radial and tangential forces in the vessel. The radial forces are applied using an integrated external tool. The component parts form a flush fit both outside and inside with respect to the element to be connected. The design can be sealed both radially and axially.
