PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit cold storage and preservation of foods under an excellent sanitary condition by restraining the growth of molds and bacteria in the whole interior of a refrigerator. SOLUTION: An oxygen combustion device 3 is attached to the half way of an air circulating passage 2, communicated with the inside of a refrigerator 10, opening and closing valves 20, 21 are provided before and after the oxygen combustion device 3 in the air circulating passage 2 and the oxygen combustion device 3 is provided with the combustion unit 3a of the combustion gas and combustion sensor 34. When the door 12 of the refrigerator 10 is closed and the inside of the refrigerator is sealed, the opening and closing valves 20, 21 are opened to supply combustion gas and the combustion unit is ignited. When the combustion sensor 34 detects the extinguishment of the combustion unit following the oxygen-deplated condition in the refrigerator due to the combustion, the opening and closing valves 20, 21 are set so as to be closed to stop the supply of combustion gas. |
