Road traffic signal lights with improved visibility in sunlight

Road traffic lights have red, green and amber units are not always clearly visible in strong sunlight. In order to overcome this problem each of the circular lighting units has an additional lighting indicator in the form of a coin sized element at the centre of the unit. The indicator is activated together with the main red, green or amber light and emits white light that is visible in sunlight.
