The heat-exchanger has hollow chambers (1,2) made from several connected plates (10,11) through which different media flow in separation from each other. Each connecting aperture (15) between the chambers has a spacing ring (9) round it of the same height as the chambers, sealing the adjacent chambers from the connecting aperture. The spacing ring has collar sectors (14) projecting from it co-axially into the connecting apertures. The spacing ring may be of omega-shaped cross-section, open towards the ring axis (12) like a tyre. It may be made of metal sheet, in particular aluminium sheet.
