The device is incorporated in a corset or brassiere and has a sensor (1) in direct contact with the body and an associated recording device, or signal source (6), for providing a signal in response to the sensor output signals. The sensor uses pressure sensors for detecting the position of the spine and can be coupled to the recording device or the signal source via an amplifier. Alternatively the sensor signals may be transmitted directly to a personal computer.
