The controller has at least one drive element, at least one positioning element connected to a drive element and with a drive arrangement, an arrangement for normal control and an arrangement for null point resetting. The controller also contains an arrangement for detecting changes in positioning element operating conditions, an arrangement for setting the initial resetting control and an arrangement for return control setting. The arrangement for setting the initial resetting control varies the drive torque depending on the effect of the operating condition change on the drive force.
