Redundant corner connection for a metal support, especially for a frame for an electric cabinet

The chassis has vertical uprights formed as columns with U-profiled base and first series of horizontal cross pieces extending parallel to each other in direction of width of cabinet. A second series of cross pieces (16F) are perpendicular to the first series (14D) and extend in the direction of the depth of the cabinet. Fixture devices are provided for assembling the cross pieces of the two series to the uprights so as to form a framework with a rectangular parallelogram profile. Each upright is provided with a support device equipped with four support surfaces (32A,34A,34B) intended to work in conjunction with two positioning surfaces (50) of a cross piece (14D) of the first series to form a hyperstatic (22) corner fixture device when the fixture devices are tightened.
