The valve has a casing containing a channel with an inlet region and outlet region with a valve seat (15) between then controlled by a valve member (16). The valve member, when closed sits via a weakly truncated, conical annular surface (53) on a correspondingly shaped valve seating surface (73). The valve seating surface is on an axial annular projection (74) of the casing and is relatively narrow. The annular surface on the valve member side has a greater radial extent inwards, with a truncated cone inner surface (55) at the inner end and a truncated cone outer surface (54) at the outer end. |
