<p>Apparatus for classifying circular plate bodies, for example coins, which apparatus comprises, a passage 15 adapted to guide and allow a circular plate body to orient substantially vertically and fall naturally, an elongate axially rotatable deflector rod 21 arranged to obstruct movement of a circular plate body toward a lower exit opening 9 from the passage 15, and motor 23 to selectively rotate the defector rod 21 about its longitudinal axis to direct the circular plate body relative to the exit opening. The apparatus may comprise a tandem array of classifying devices, wherein the deflector rod of each classifying device includes a common drive axle driven by a common motor.</p> |
