Method of connecting parts made from plastic

The connecting elements used ar made from a fibre reinforced plastics and consist of a bolt (3) and a nut (4) which has an integral spring washer (5). The bolt has grooves in its end so that sharp downward facing ridges (7) in the shape of teeth are formed. The nut has complimentary teeth. The connecting elements are shaped to suit various applications. A resin adhesive is applied to bolt and nut before assembly which is allowed to set after assembly while the integral spring washer of the nut keeps the parts under tension. The tension is applied via a clamping nut provided with an inner toothing which engages with a corresponding outer toothing of the connection element.
