The invention relates to new polyester-based amphiphilic polymers which contain condensed acetalic groups, in accordance with empirical formula (I) (dirt-removing polymers), and the use thereof in powder or liquid detergents and cleaning agents. The invention also relates to the use of said agents for washing and cleaning soiled surfaces and in textile processing.
