Mould making machine

The mould making machine (1) incorporates a vertically displaceable table (2) for a pattern (3) and mould box (4), and a compacting hood (5). The table is movable from a rest position into a raised working position (B) in which the table presses the mould box against the compacting hood. The machine is characterised by the fact that the table is provided with a guide and support mechanism (6) which releasably blocks from below the table in the raised working position (B).
