In a photo defoliation process, for medical dermatology applications, the area (22) of the stretched skin being treated is subjected to a suction underpressure. Also claimed is an appts. which directs the laser beam and outlet channel at the skin area (22) to be treated, and the outlet opening (11) has a system to generate a suction underpressure.
