A sealing assembly for a rolling element bearing, including first (13) and second (14) screens fixed respectively to first (5) and second (3) rings of the bearing (2), each comprising a respective rigid reinforcement (15, 31) and a respective elastomeric covering (26, 35). The first screen (13) includes a sleeve portion (16) and a flange portion (18) and also includes two sealing lips (28, 29) which co-operate with a sealing surface (20) of the second screen (14). The first screen (13) also has an annular projection (21) extending from the sleeve portion (16) and interposable, together with an extension (26a) of the elastomeric covering (26), between a front surface (20) of the first ring (5) of the bearing (2), and a shoulder (10) of the bearing (2) itself. The second screen (14) has a phonic wheel (39) defined by a flange portion (33) of the frame (31) and a magnetised portion (35a) of the elastomeric covering (35); in addition, this latter has in use a front surface (36) projecting beyond the front surface (20) of the first ring (5). <IMAGE> |
