PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject product capable of providing a bright print having high fastness at a high density, especially such as a blue dyed product by using a disperse dye having a specific structure as a colorant. SOLUTION: This ink for ink jet jets comprises a colorant and a liquid medium for dissolving and/or dispersing the colorant. A disperse dye represented by formula I or II (R is CH3 or C2 H5 ; R1 is H, CH3 , etc.; R2 is H, Cl, etc.; R3 is H, OCH3 , etc.; R4 is Cl, CH3 , etc.) is preferably contained as the colorant in an amount of 1-15wt.% based on the total amount of the ink. The average particle diameter of the disperse dye dispersed in the ink is preferably 0.1-0.3μm. The liquid medium preferably consists essentially of water in an amount of preferably 40-90wt.% based on the total amount of the ink. When a water-soluble organic solvent such as ethanol is used in combination with water is used as the liquid medium, effects can preferably more remarkably be manifested. The content thereof is preferably 5-40wt.% based on the total amount of the ink. |
