ADDITIVE-CONTAINING RESIN MOLDED PRODUCT AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the effect of an additive over a long period of time by fixing the additive to the inside of a thermoplastic resin so as not to allow the same to volatilize and disappear. SOLUTION: This method is constituted so that a radical polymerizable additive and a radical initiator are added to a thermoplastic resin before the resin is heated and melted to be molded into a predetermined shape and the polymer molecules of the heated and molten thermoplastic resin and the additive are covalently bonded in an inert gas atmosphere or the radical initiator is added to the heated and molten thermoplastic resin before molding to generate polymer radicals and the radical polymerizable additive is added to be covalently bonded to the polymer molecules. By this method, an additive- containing resin molded product wherein about 40% or more of the additive is covalently bonded and fixed to the polymer molecules is produced.
