PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new expression vector, comprising a promoter, a coding sequence of a protein derived from a heterogeneous protein and an intron sequence containing donor sites and an acceptor site and useful for enhanced expression, etc., of the protein derived from the heterogenous protein. SOLUTION: This new expression vector comprises (A) a promoter, (B) a coding sequence of a protein, derived from a heterogenous protein and operably connected to the promoter and (C) an intron sequence, located on the downstream side of the promoter and on the upstream side of the coding sequence and containing the same two donor sites and one acceptor site. The expression vector is capable of enhancing the expression of the protein, derived from the heterogenous protein and having biological activities when producing the protein from a cell line of mammals according to a genetic engineering technique. The expression vector is obtained by joining a cytomegalovirus promoter to the coding sequence of the heterogenous protein and a 5'-intron sequence derived from an Epstein-Barr virus in the order. |
