A non-conductive printable and markable non-latex balloon comprises an inflatable balloon formed form a laminate film. The laminate film has a markable paper layer forming at least part of the outer surface of the balloon, a bonding polyolefin resin layer bonding a flexible polymeric substrate layer to the paper layer. A laminate material and a method for forming the balloon which comprises coextruding a composite film of a polymeric substrate and a tacky polyolefin resin coating followed by laminating it with a paper layer are also claimed.
