PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable read/write from all four directions of pallet sides by placing a non-contact data carrier having an antenna for transmitting/receiving signals without contact along one of diagonal lines of a rectangular pallet viewed from a plane in a posture with an antenna face standing. SOLUTION: A non-contact data carrier system comprises a pallet 52 including a non-contact data carrier 51, a belt conveyer 53, an external device 54 and an external antenna 55 for transmitting/receiving information between the non-contact data carrier 51 and the external device 54. The non-contact data carrier 51 is placed along one of diagonal lines on a bottom of the pallet 52 in a posture with a transmitting/receiving face of the antenna standing vertically. Thus the non-contact data carrier 51 and the transmitting/receiving face of the external antenna 55 always face at an angle of approximately 45 degrees irrespective of an aspect of a side of the pallet 55, thereby always guaranteeing contact with the external device 54. |
