PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric excellent in surface durability, and to provide a method for producing the nonwoven fabric. SOLUTION: This nonwoven fabric is obtained by integrally integrating superfine fibers A generated from removal type splitting fibers from which at least one resin component can be removed to generate the superfine fibers A having an average fiber diameter of <=3μm, with physical splitting fibers capable of being split by a physical action to generate superfine fiber B and with superfine fibers B generated from the physical splitting fibers.
