<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preclude shortage of grease and establish a good meshing condition of a hypoid gear with a pinion gear. SOLUTION: A motor driven power steering device 1 is composed of a hypoid gear 6 installed coaxially with a steering shaft 2, a motor 7 to give an assisting force for steering, a pinion gear 9 installed at the tip of the rotary shaft 8 of the motor 7 and meshing with the hypoid gear 6, and a grease restraining wall 12 to hinder the grease applied to the cogged surface 6a of the gear 6 from moving toward the axis of the steering shaft 2.</p> |
