PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a motor assist force of natural sense in the same as when the person walks in pushing a bicycle usually and suppress the consumption of a battery. SOLUTION: A hand push sensor 7 is composed of a displacement mechanism 8, which makes displacement in the bicycle advancing direction with a hand push operation and returns to the initial position when the hand is put off, and a displacement sensor 9 to sense the displacement amountδof the displacement mechanism 8. A control part 4 controls the motor control signals S so that the torque Fm complying with the output displacement amountδof the displacement sensor 9 is additionally fed to the wheel mechanism 1.
