PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject product capable of retaining quality equivalent to initial quality in the change of temperature and long-term storage by compounding aqueous ink for ball point pen containing water as major component and containing a coloring agent, a water-soluble organic solvent and a tackiness-providing agent with a specific amount of silicone defoaming agent. SOLUTION: In an aqueous ink for ball point pen containing water as a main component and further containing (B) a coloring agent, (C) a water-soluble organic solvent (e.g. ethylene glycol) and (D) a tackiness-providing agent (e.g. xanthan gum), (E) 0.001-1wt.%, preferably 0.01-0.2wt.% silicone defoaming agent is included into the ink. When a pigment is used as the component B, the content is preferably 6-8wt.% based on total ink weight. The compounding amount of the component C is preferably 15-30wt.% based on total ink weight. The content of the component D is normally 0.1-1wt.%. When a pigment dispersing agent is used, a water-soluble polymer is preferably used. Furthermore, the addition of the component E is preferably carried out before mixing and stirring the component D with other component. |
