FIXING MECHANISM FOR RECORDING HEAD UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sustain a constant coupling attitude between a recording head unit and a carriage by securing contacts on the recording head unit and the carriage side with a correct pressing force even when the temperature of a recording mechanism rises. SOLUTION: When a head unit 12 is mounted removably on a carriage 11, the stopping part 12b of the head unit 12 is engaged with the locking part 51b of the carriage 11 and then an auxiliary locking member 60 is press fitted between the locking part 51b and the wall member 51d of the carriage 11 itself thus preventing the engaged state between the locking part 51b and the stopping part 12b from being loosened due to displacement. Consequently, the coupled state between the head unit 12 and the carriage 11 can be sustained even if the temperature of a recording mechanism rises during operation.
