PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable high-speed nice-locking color printing through relatively simple positional control, by printing a color among a plurality of colors which exhibits strong contrast to an undercoat color of an object to be printed in one direction and the other colors in two directions. SOLUTION: After initial setting, test data or the like to be image data are input by a keyboard input part 102, so that image data comprised of a dot matrix are formed. The image rata become an original data for images to be printed to a tape T. That all data are completely input, etc., is confirmed through a liquid crystal display part 17. A printing bottom 103 is depressed. After it is detected that the image data are finished to be formed and printing is started, whether the printing is to be performed in the right direction or not is detected. A P1 control is carried out when the printing is conducted in the right direction, while a P2 control is performed in printing in the left direction. When the control is finished, it is checked whether all dot data of the image data are completely printed. |
