PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermoplastic resin compsn. excellent in mechanical properties, coatability, and adhesion to a coating material by compounding a propylene polymer with a block copolymer comprising polymer segments formed from an acrylic ester and polymer segments formed from an arom. vinyl monomer in a specified wt. ratio of the propylene polymer to the block copolymer. SOLUTION: This compsn. comprises 99.9-50wt.% propylene polymer (e.g. isotacic PP) and 0.1-50wt.% block copolymer which comprises 1-70wt.% polymer segments formed by polymerizing a monomer represented by the formula: CH2 = CR<1> COOR<2> (R<1> is H or CH3 ; and R<2> is 1-8C alkyl) and 30-99wt.% polymer segments (e.g. PS segments) formed by (co)polymerizing an arom. vinyl monomer alone or a monomer mixture contg. it in an amt. of at least 30wt.%, pref. at least 50wt.%. If necessary, the compsn. is further compounded with a thermoplastic elastomer (e.g. polybutadiene). |
