PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce a metal foamed body with extremely many foams by subjecting a fiber-based assembly as a start foaming material to which a conductive layer is formed on the surface to metal precipitation treatment in a metal electrolytic bath containing a compd. having brightener characteristics. SOLUTION: A start foaming material or conductive org. fiber or metal fiber foaming component 1 is prepared by forming a conductive surface layer 1' such as Cr, P-Ni, Au, Ag on a foamed body such as polyurethane and polyester to given conductivity to the material. Then the foaming component 1 is dipped as a cathode in a Ni electrolytic cell containing a secondary brightener such as 1,4-butynediol, ethylene cyanohydrin, and a compd. having both of secondary brigthener characteristics and primary brightener characteristics. The component 1 is subjected to metal precipitation treatment such as Ni by applying a pulse current. Thus, Ni precipitate 2 having selective growing part is formed on the surface to produce a metal foamed body or metal porous body having excellent characteristics. |
