摘要 The invention comprises polymeric organic esters of phosphorous acid having the formula <FORM:0803082/IV (a)/1> in which R is a chlorine-containing monovalent organic radical bound through C to the O and containing Cl, preferably bound to C in vicinal position to said O-bound C atom, and in which OR1O is a chlorine-containing residue of a polymeric epoxy compound having 2 terminal epoxy groups; and polymeric esters of phosphorous acid being the reaction product of a phosphorous compound of the formula <FORM:0803082/IV (a)/2> in which hal is halogen, and A and B are halogen or OR, R being a chlorine-containing monovalent organic radical bound through C to O and containing chlorine bound to a C-atom in vicinal position to said O-bound C-atom, with a polymeric epoxy compound having 2 terminal epoxy groups. The invention also comprises heat-resistant compositions having as a major constituent a halogen-containing synthetic resin, and as stabilizing agent a halogenated organic phosphorous ester of the formula <FORM:0803082/IV (a)/3> in which R, R1 and R11 are the same or different organic radicals bound through C to the O atoms of the phosphorous acid and containing halogen, preferably bound to a C atom vicinal to the O-bound C atom. The stabilizing agent may be the reaction product of PCl3 with an epoxy compound, the latter employed in excess of the stoichiometric amount, and may be used with additionally an organic metal salt and/or an organo-tin compound and/or an epoxy compound. In an example, PCl3 is reacted with 2 mols. of propylene oxide and the product is reacted with a polymeric epichlorhydrin-p : p1-dihydroxydiphenyldimethylmethane condensation product to produce a polymeric phosphite of the type defined above. In a further example, a vinyl chloride resin is blended with dioctyl phthalate, barium-cadmium laurate, epoxidated soya oil, and a phosphite obtained by reacting 1 mol. of PCl3 with respectively: 3 mols. of propylene oxide; 3 mols. of epichlorhydrin; 2 mols, of 1 : 1 : 3 : 3-tetramethyl-2 : 3-epoxybutane and 1 mol. of propylene oxide; 3 mols. of propylene oxide and 1 mol. of 9 : 10-epoxystearic acid; or 2 mols. of phenyl glycidyl ether and 1 mol. of epoxidated soya oil. Alternatively tris-chloroethyl phosphite may be used. Films may be prepared from the resulting compositions. Specification 711,145 is referred to.ALSO:The invention comprises esters of phosphorous acid of the formula: <FORM:0803082/IV (b)/1> in which R and R1 are different chlorine-containing monovalent organic radicals bound through a carbon atom to an O-atom of the phosphorous acid and contain chlorine bound to a carbon atom in vicinal position to the said O-bound carbon atom, or having the formula: <FORM:0803082/IV (b)/2> in which R, R1 and R11 are different chlorine-containing monovalent organic radicals bound through C to an O of the phosphorous acid and contain chlorine bound to C in vicinal position to said O-bound carbon atom. The products, which are used in heat-resistant synthetic resin compositions (see Group IV (a)), may be prepared by reacting PCl3 with an epoxy compound or a chlorhydrin. In examples: (1) propylene oxide reacts with PCl3 to give probably an isomeric mixture of tris-(2-chloropropyl) phosphites: P(OCH2CH(CH3)Cl)3 and P(OCH(CH3) CH2Cl)3; (2) epichlorohydrin reacts similarly to give a mixture of tris-(2 : 3-dichloropropyl) phosphites: P(OCH2CHClCH2Cl)3 and P(OCH (CH2Cl)CH2Cl)3; (3) PCl3 is reacted with 2 mols. of 1 : 1 : 3 : 3-tetramethyl-2 : 3-epoxybutane and 1 mol. of propylene oxide to produce bis(1 : 1 : 3 : 3 - tetramethyl - 2 - chlorobutyl)-2 - chloropropyl phosphite; (4) styrene oxide yields tris - (2 - chloro - 1 - phenylethyl - 1 or -2) phosphite; (5) allyl glycidyl ether yields tris-(2 - chloro - 3 - allyloxypropyl) phosphite; (6) PCl3 is reacted with 2 mols. of propylene oxide and 1 mol. of 9 : 10-epoxystearic acid to give bis - (2 - chloropropyl) 1 - octyl - 2 - chloro - 9 - carboxynonyl phosphite; (7) PCl5 is reacted with slightly over 2 mols. of phenyl glycidyl ether and 1 mol. of epoxidated soya oil.
