PURPOSE:To enable a player to sensuously control the assigned position of a sound without operating an operation element, etc. CONSTITUTION:A human body, etc., can freely be varied in pitch and loudness according to the feeling of the player himself or herself. Format data also varies as the pitch and loudness are varied. For the purpose, an external sound analyzing means analyzes pitch data and level data characteristic to an input sound (human voice, etc.) or characteristic data such as the formant data. An assigned position control coefficient generating means 18 generates a coefficient of assigned position control corresponding to characteristic data as the analytic result. An assigned position control means generates >=2 musical sound signal showing a position corresponding to the assigned position control coefficient. The musical sound signals which are thus obtained are outputted from a multi- channel sound system and then the position of a sound image corresponding to the assigned position coefficient is indicated. The player can, therefore, control the assigned position of the sound image sensuously by free voicing without operating any operation element. |
