PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To feed even paper for exclusive use positively over a long period of time by providing a cleaning member coming in sliding contact with the surface of a feed roller for feeding paper in contact with the paper, so as to clean the surface of the feed roller, thereby eliminating paper powder, a coating agent, and the like sticking to the surface. SOLUTION: A feed roller cover 7 is provided to cover the upper part of a feed roller 3, and a cleaning member 8 is fitted to the feed roller cover 7. The feed roller cover 7 is fixed to a frame F. The cleaning member 8 comes in sliding contact with the surface 3a of the feed roller 3 to clean it, that is, eliminates paper powder and a coating agent sticking to the surface 3a. The friction coefficient of the feed roller surface 3a is not therefore lowered so much, and even in case paper S is paper for exclusive use with coating applied to the surface, the paper S can be positively fed over a long period of time. |
