PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable control of soil borne pathogenic bacteria not by agrochemicals but by natural actions. SOLUTION: This rhizoplane fungus having soil borne disease controlling ability is produced by culturing a rhizoplane fungus commensal in Chinese cabbage roots cultivated in soil, separating and transplanting the cultured strain while identifying and classifying the rhizoplane fungus or classifying the type of colony if the fungus cannot be identified, inoculating the fungus to Chinese cabbage roots, further inoculating club root disease fungus into the cultivation soil, cultivating Chinese cabbage in the soil roots of the Chinese cabbage for occurrence of the club root disease, and specifying and selecting the rhizoplane fungus inoculated to Chinese cabbage of low prevalence of club root disease. Features of the rhizoplane fungus having control function against the club root disease of Chinese cabbage is that colonies on the culture medium is black or brawn, and that the spore formation cannot be observed on the culture medium. The fungus which has been identified is Wasterdykella multispora. |
