PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the on-ice braking performance of a pneumatic tire. SOLUTION: A branch siping 20 having a main body part 20A extending linearly along the peripheral direction of a tire and linear branch parts 20B and 20C which are connected to the main body part 20A and inclined to the peripheral direction of the tire is formed in a block 18. Also the branch siping 20 is branched on the kick-off side of the block 18. In addition, water between an ice surface and the block 18 is taken into the branch siping 20, and the taken-in water flows through the branch siping 20 and exhausted to a lateral groove 16. By this, much water can be eliminated and thus a contact surface between the block 18 and the road surface is maintained and on-ice performance is assured. |
