FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: method for erection of roof covering by raising procedure is used in erection and reconstruction of dwelling and industrial buildings. Method is realized in following succession. Installed are central metal stems of columns, then roof covering is raised in steps by means of hoisting facilities. Roof covering is preliminarily assembled at lower level of building. After roof covering is raised by one step, it is fixed on stem and section of stem is concreted from bottom upwards through height of one raising step. After that, roof covering is raised by one more step and next section of column stem is concreted. In this way, raising of roof covering and concreting of columns are carried out simultaneously at pitch equal to (3...20)x 10<SP>4</SP>d<SP>3</SP>/F, where d - diameter of column stem, F - vertical projection of roof covering which takes wind pressure coming on one column stem up to design height. Raised roof covering is thus supported by columns. Metal stems of columns are finally built up by concreting or by applying protective gluing solution and some kind of coating. Application of aforesaid method simplifies erection of building due to raising of roof covering simultaneously with construction of supporting columns with ensuring their stability.
