FIELD: strip material winding equipment. SUBSTANCE: drum has shaft with longitudinal wedge-shaped surfaces. Shaft is mounted for axial displacement by drive. Shaft is embraced by segments equipped with wedge-shaped slots and positioned for engagement with wedge-shaped surfaces of shaft. Drum is further provided with strip end clamping device having immovable jaw fixed on segment and movable jaw mounted in segment slot for radial movement. Movable jaw may be brought to immovable jaw by wedge mechanism kinematically connected with shaft axial positioning drive. Wedge-shaped surface of movable jaw positioning mechanism is made in slot and provided with T-shaped wedge guides. Strip clamping mechanism is offset from segment axis. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and increased strength of winder drum parts. 3 dwgt
