FIELD: aeronautical and space engineering and other industries. SUBSTANCE: electric motor of hermetic design has flange which is located between end face of holder mounted in housing and stop fitted on casing sealing the cavity of electric motor stator. One member of "casing-holder" pair has bore whose diameter is equal to or is more than diameter of electric motor flange; other member arranged inside it has circular projection; radial seal is located between engageable cylindrical surfaces of bore and projection. Method of assembly of electric pumping unit includes mounting the electric motor in holder and locking it relative to this holder, mounting the impellers and bushes inside holder, connecting the holder with electric motor to housing and connecting the hermetic casing to housing. Locking the electric motor to holder is effected through placing the electric motor and holder in sealing casing, fitting the seals between holder and casing as well as between holder and electric motor, after which rarefaction is created in cavity bounded by hermetic casing, holder and electric motor and this cavity is sealed up; then impellers and bushes are mounted inside holder, holder is connected to housing and final locking of housing, holder and sealing casing is effected by means of fastenings clamping the housing with casing.
