The electric heater consists of a decorative front panel (2) of natural or reconstituted stone or porcelain, designed to store and radiate heat, a heating unit (3) and a thermal insulation panel (4), forming an assembly enclosed by a support (5) that is joined to the rear surface of the front panel. Preferably the heating unit comprises a plate surrounded by a dielectric material (7), or a dielectric plate and a flat resistance (6), with the dielectric material mica and micanite, or ethylene glycol polyterephthalate with both faces covered by polyester felt. The support is made from rigid U-section metal profiles and is attached to the front panel so that it can be detached for servicing or repair. The thermal insulation panel is a honeycomb structure e.g. of aluminium or stainless steel. |
