The axle (4) of the butterfly valve (3) has a conductive and flattened end (12) engaged between two pins (23) projecting in a sleeve (14) of the control cam (15) connected by a cable (21) to the accelerator pedal. The two pins (23) form the driving stops of the axle (4) and of the butterfly valve (3) rotated by the cam (15) and the contact terminals short-circuited by the axle (4) end (12) or not mutually connected depending on whether the accelerator pedal is pressed or not. These contacting means detect the "foot off" configuration and provide the electric control, by the engine (18) and the gear transmission (19), of the angular position of the butterfly valve (3) on the same side of the axis (4) as the mechanical control by the cam (15). The invention is useful for controlling the position of the air admission butterfly valve for internal combustion engines. |
