The point of sale for a pharmacy has a two-level circular table with a display screen built into the top surface and lower levels to support a computer and printer, and a cash drawer. The top surface serves as a counter between the operator and the customer. The table is supported by a double-walled tubular column, which can rotate through 120 deg . The space between the two walls of the support column allows passage of cables for the computer and its associated equipment, and the central passage of the support column serves as a guide for pneumatic transfer of pharmaceuticals requested at the computer terminal from the storeroom to the point of sale.
