The coffin is made of a biodegradable carton which is folded in such a way that an upper and lower region exists. Each region has four trapezium-shaped side surfaces each having an adhesive strip and each being joined to a rectangular lid/base surface. The upper and lower parts are sprayed with a water-soluble dispersion adhesive and flocculated with textile fibres in an electric field.
