The invention concerns a planar antenna, in particular for mobile radio, wherein the planar antenna has a first and a second conductive layer, the two layers being disposed at a predefined spacing from each other. The conductive layers (1, 101, 201, 301, 401; 2, 102, 202, 302, 402) are plates or foils arranged such that their surfaces are mutually parallel, the second layer (2, 102, 202, 302, 402) being a partial area of the first layer (1, 101, 201, 301, 401). At least two dielectric spacers (5, 205, 305, 405; 111; 6, 206, 306, 406) keep the two layers (1, 101, 201, 301, 401; 2, 102, 202, 302, 402) at a spacing. The location (7, 107, 207, 307, 407) at which the signals are coupled in and out lies on a first bisecting line (4, 104, 204, 304, 404) of the arrangement.
