Cartridge for handguns, for high accuracy and penetration of armoured targets

The cartridge for hand guns has a case with a percussion cap and contains propellant. The bullet is set into the neck of the case (2). The bullet (4) is cased (11) and includes a hard internal core (12). A carrier (13) holds the core in the casing (11). Preferably, the core is a very hard material, e.g. sintered material, heavy metal, tungsten carbide, hard metal or hardened steel. The casing of the bullet is preferably steel or tombac (a zinc-copper alloy). The carrier (13) is preferably tombac, metal or plastic, machined or injection moulded.
